RIPTA to provide free passenger trips to and from vaccination sites beginning April 19

Governor Dan McKee and the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) currently declared these days that powerful Monday, April 19, 2021, RIPTA will be providing no cost transportation to individuals touring to and from vaccination appointments.

“This is a big gain for Rhode Island’s vaccination efforts,” claimed Governor McKee in a assertion. “We know that for quite a few Rhode Islanders transportation is a regular barrier to accessing a COVID-19 vaccine. Quite a few of our State’s vaccination web-sites are already available by RIPTA bus services. I hope that no-expense journeys will help every person who wishes to get to a vaccine clinic to get there very easily. Thank you to our associates at RIPTA and the Federal Transit Administration for breaking down this barrier. Together, we will vaccinate the Ocean Point out.”
