12-year-old Pennsylvania boy found dead in pool during camping trip

A 12-yr-old boy who disappeared whilst on a tenting excursion in Pennsylvania was located dead on Thursday after he drowned in a pool at the campground.

Pau Kahi was on a a few-working day vacation for middle university college students from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster County when he went missing Wednesday, in accordance to camp officials.

The boy’s physique was found early Thursday early morning in a pool at the Summit Grove Campground in New Freedom.

Kahi had absent swimming with other campers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Organizers reportedly cleared the pool at 6 p.m. and have been headed to the up coming action when they recognized Pau was lacking.

It was unclear in which the boy went immediately after the swimming session or how he received in the pool, which was locked.

“At this place, we have no information that it is something other than an incident, but we’re surely going to search into each individual factor just to make positive,” Chief James Boddington advised WGAL-Television set.

“We’re still attempting to determine who all was at the pool, who experienced still left the pool. We’re however attempting to job interview folks. There was a large amount of men and women concerned in the region.”

Summit Grove Campground, which is about 35 miles north of Baltimore, suspended activities at the 43-acre internet site until eventually immediately after the holiday break weekend.

“Our hearts are grief-stricken around the reduction of Pau. Superb kid, just a superb, lovely relatives. We’re deeply saddened,” Westminster Presbyterian Church Pastor Tucker York explained to WPMT-Television set.

A Burmese ceremony was planned in his honor at the church on July 8 ahead of a funeral the next day.
